Daisy is our new main season Romaine. This new romaine line has excellent bolting tolerance and is
resistant to bushy stunt virus. Daisy displays a very high tolerance to tip-burn and fringe-burn under
extremely high temperatures. Daisy has a medium-glossy light-green plant color with a yellow interior
and thick leaf texture, which gives it a strong shipping quality. It possesses a smooth solid midrib and
smooth leaf petioles and has a good weight at harvest time. Daisy may be used for fresh, whole leaf,
and/or processor markets with exceptional quality with added weight. This variety can be compared to
Duquesne, Grackle, Solid King, and River RD.
