Fort Romie is our new romaine for warm weather. It has a medium-
strong bolting resistance and medium tolerance to Tip Burn. It has a medium
green color and exhibits a large frame with a 12” to 14” plant height. This
romaine has an extremely smooth midrib and wide leaf petiole with a straight
tapered butt shape making for an impressive pack at harvest. This variety is
Corky Root and TBS resistant and has shown tolerance to Fusarium. Fort Romie
is great for Fresh, Bulk, and Heart markets.
