Superstar is a non-heading, green leaf lettuce variety with a large frame and impressive butt and midrib appearance. It is bushy stunt virus resistant with good tolerance to tip burn and has tolerance to fusarium. Superstar has an abundance of leaves that are slightly narrower than those of other green leaf varieties, making it ideal for the whole leaf market. Unlike other green-leaf varieties, Superstar is very pliable at harvest with less mechanical damage than other green-leaf varieties, making it suitable for fresh and whole-leaf markets.
